Nancy Jean Henbest, 78, of Cassville, passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, in Cassville Health Care and Rehab.
She was born Oct. 4, 1933, in Springfield, Colo., the daughter of Lloyd R. and Rena (Powell) Ward. On May 23, 1952, she was united in marriage to Raymond E. Jagger, and to this union three sons were born. Raymond preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 1962. On January 29, 1966, she married James Albert Henbest, and to this union one son was born. James passed away Sept. 9, 2008. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Richard Ward and Lloyd Austin Ward.
Survivors include: four sons, Raymond Jagger and his wife, Charlene, of Kirksville, William Jagger and his wife, Dana, of Cynthiana, Ky., Rick Jagger, of Cassville, and James E. Henbest, of Cynthiana, Ky.; two sisters, Kathryn Beck, of Cassville, and Gordona Robbe and her husband, Bill, of Pueblo, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She grew up and received her education in Springfield, Colo., where she graduated from high school. Over 40 years ago, she moved from Springfield, Colo., to Cassville to make her home. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Graveside services were held today (Wednesday) at Horner Cemetery, Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Bob Neeley conducted the services.
