Dorothea Jane (Madison) Redding, 94, of Cassville, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, in Cassville Health Care and Rehab, where she had been a resident three years.

She was born May 3, 1917, in Coffeyville, Kan., the daughter of Roy Levi and Wilhelmina Jane (Phillips) Madison. On Oct. 16, 1937, in Oak Ridge, she was united in marriage to William Uel "Pete" Redding, who preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 2002. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one sister, Pearl Seago; and three brothers, Elzie, Kenneth and Leslie Madison.

Survivors include: two daughters, Gaylene Vaught and her husband, Larry, of Cassville, and Jane Martens and her husband, Jim, of Carthage, Ill.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Wednesday at Clio Cemetery, Jenkins, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Doyle Russell conducted the services.
