Seventh grade action
Since Oct. 29, the seventh grade squad has recorded five wins and two losses. The young Lady Wildcats defeated Monett twice by scores of 31-12 on Nov. 10 and 43-18 on Nov. 3.
In those games, Alicia Huse had a combined 22 points, and Devyn Callahan added 19 points for Cassville. Other scorers against Monett in the two games were: Ashlea Large, 4 points; Ashley Ray, 10 points; Macy Parsons, 10 points; Carrie Agans, 9 points; and Alexis Cieslinski and Tori Cole, 2 points each.
The seventh graders also downed Mt. Vernon 30-5 on Nov. 14. Scorers were: Large, 2; Ray, 2; Callahan, 10; Parsons, 8; Huse, 2; Cieslinski, 2; and Cole, 4.
In a 39-9 win over McDonald County, Lady Wildcat scorers were: Large, 4; Ray, 8; Callahan, 2; Parsons, 12; Huse, 9; Cole, 2; and Agans, 2.
The Cassville seventh grade team also beat Mt. Vernon on Oct. 29 by a score of 41-14 and fell to Seneca 36-27 on Oct. 31. Both games were played as part of the Triway Tournament, where the young Lady Wildcats placed third.
Eighth grade action
The Lady Wildcat eighth graders have opened the season with two wins and five losses. Cassville fell to Mt. Vernon (28-11) and Diamond (45-25) but defeated Sarcoxie (22-17) in the Triway Tournament.
On Nov. 10, the Cassville eighth graders faced off against Monett and defeated the Lady Cubs 24-20. Top scorers for Cassville were: Makenzy Durossette, 14; Tyfanee Horrocks and Megan Boyd, 4 each; and Lindsey Halterman, 2.
The Lady Wildcats suffered a 29-11 loss to Mt. Vernon on Nov. 14. Scoring for Cassville were: Micah Cole, 4; Halterman, 1; Horrocks, 4; and Alesha Cousins, 2.
