Crime Stoppers seeks executive board members

Tuesday, November 22, 2011

The Barry-Lawrence Chapter of Crime Stoppers is seeking new board members and executive board members.

Chairman John Strong indicated that recent attendance numbers were down, because people are unable to attend the monthly meetings or have relocated, leaving vacancies on the board.

Crime Stoppers is an organization that offers rewards for information leading to the arrest and charges being filed on those who have committed felonies in the bi-county area.

Representation is needed from both the southern Barry County and northern Lawrence County areas. Additional representation from the Monett/Purdy/Verona area is also needed.

Anyone interested in joining the Barry-Lawrence Crime Stoppers Board will be subject to a criminal background investigation prior to being permitted to attend the meetings.

For more information or an application, contact Strong at 417-354-0619.
