Cassville man to direct concert

The Holiday Island Singers, directed by Kerry Hays, of Cassville, will offer a Choral Celebration at the Holiday Island, Ark., Clubhouse on Friday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 11.

"The first part of the concert will offer a series of secular songs," said Hays. "Then, we will have a break. After the break, we will have four or five more religious Christmas songs, and then, we will have more secular songs to end the concert with a sing-along."

The entire show is estimated to last around one hour. Coffee and water will be offered during the short intermission.

The Holiday Island Singers is made up of 52 members, who range in age from 39 to 90. Members are from southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas. The choir has been featured on Ozarks Harvest Radio.

Tickets for the Choral Celebration are $7 each. Tickets can be purchased from Hays, any choir member or at the door.

The concert on Friday, Dec. 9 will begin at 7 p.m., and the show on Sunday, Dec. 11 will begin at 3 p.m.
