William Donald Willard, 78, passed away Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, in Springfield.

He was born March 14, 1933, in Cherokee, Kan., to Ted and Gertrude Willard. He had six siblings, three brothers and three sisters, who preceded him in death, as well as, his parents. He was raised and educated in Pittsburg, Kan. He was a Korean War veteran He was an agent for the Prudential Insurance Co. for 32 years. He was a member of the All Faith United Methodist Church in Eagle Rock. He was also an active member of the Masonic Lodge in Columbus, Kan., and a Shriner.

Survivors include: his wife of 56 years, Bonnie, of Golden; and three sons, William G. Willard and his wife, Teresa, of Springdale, Ark., Bradley Willard, of Blue Springs, and Christopher Willard, of Breckenridge, Colo.; two granddaughters; and three grandsons.

Memorial services were held Saturday in All Faith United Methodist Church, Eagle Rock, under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Karen Tutak conducted the services. Burial with military honors will be held at a later date in the Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ark.
