Shell Knob School kindergarteners recently began their annual postcard collection program with a visit to the Shell Knob Post Office. During the field trip, students sent postcard request letters to family members and friends and toured the post office. Individuals, businesses and families are invited to help the kindergarten postcard collection grow by sending postcards to the Shell Knob School, 24400 State Highway 39, Shell Knob, MO 65747. Senders are encouraged to include a message about the location where the card was sent from, and why the sender enjoys living in or visiting the location. The 2010 class holds the record for the most postcards collected. The students received 437 postcards. The school's collection includes 48 postcards from around the United States, Korea, the Virgin Islands, Rome, Australia, South Africa, Ireland and China.
