Gary Lee Ellis, 53, of Richland, passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, in St. John's Hospital, Lebanon.

He was born May 7, 1958, in Cassville, the son of Curtis and Dorothy L. (Harrison) Ellis. On March 26, 1975, in Butterfield, he was united in marriage to Diane Hickman, who survives.

Additional survivors include: two sons, Gary W. Ellis and his wife, Trisha, of Richland, and Billy Ellis, of Richland; one brother, Dale Ellis and his wife, Barbara, of Neosho; four sisters, Wilma Hilburn, of Cassville, Freda Cooper and her husband, Charles, of Cassville, Marion Stubblefield, of Cassville, and Wanda Cole, of Independence; and six grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a granddaughter.

He grew up and received his education at Cassville, graduating from Cassville High School. He had worked at Able II and also Roaring River State Park. He had been employed for Efco for awhile and more recently worked for Fasco, Quality Manufacturing and then Regal-Beloit.

He was a member of the Hazel Green Fire Corp through the Hazel Green Fire Department.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Jack Freeman and Pastor Doyle Russell conducted the services. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter.
