Carl L. Henbest, 76, of Cassville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield.
He was born Sept. 20, 1935, in Cassville, the son of Homer Alfred and Clara (Robison) Henbest. On June 6, 1954, in Exeter, he was united in marriage to Roberta Sapp, who survives.
Additional survivors include: one son, Max Henbest, of Neligh, Neb.; one daughter, Donna Gilmore, of Ft. Worth, Texas; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Mark Douglas Henbest; and a sister, Carolyn Coones.
He grew up and received his education at Cassville, graduating from Cassville High School. He was a life-long resident of Cassville, where he and his wife owned and operated a dairy farm, which he was still operating at his death. He was on the Barry County Farm Bureau Board and the Mid America Board. He was a member of Cassville First Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. James Weaver and Rev. Paul Yarnall conducted the services. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery, Cassville.
