Local individuals take part in Golden Age Games

The Missouri Health Care Association (MHCA) District IV sponsored the annual Golden Age Games on Oct. 21 at the Monett High School gymnasium with Lacoba Homes of Monett hosting the event.

Residents from 15 area facilities attended with the high team score going to Brookhaven Healthcare in Springfield. Aurora Nursing Center took second, and Lacoba Homes of Monett placed third.

The oldest participant was Eunice Lewis, age 98, from Granby House.

Participating in this year's event were residents from: Lacoba Homes, Monett; Lawrence County Manor, Mt. Vernon; Cassville Health and Rehabilitation; Carthage Health and Rehabilitation; Christian Health Care, Republic; Golden Living Center, Anderson; Autumn Court, Mt. Vernon; Seneca House; Good Shepherd, Lockwood; Medicalodges, Neosho; Joplin Health and Rehabilitation; Maranatha Village, Springfield; Brookhaven, Springfield; Benchmark Health Care, Monett; and Granby House.
