The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced that Highway F near Chain-O-Lakes in Barry County is scheduled to be resurfaced beginning the week of Oct. 31.
Drivers can expect one-lane traffic where crews are set up. Flaggers will be on the road to guide drivers through the work zone.
Drivers should be prepared to stop when approaching the work zone. Traffic will be allowed through the work zone one lane at a time.
Highway F will receive a new one-quarter-inch layer of asphalt from Highway 112 in Roaring River State Park to Highway 86 near Chain-O-Lakes.
Journagan Construction, of Springfield, is the prime contractor doing the work for a low-bid amount of $334,000.
The work is scheduled for completion by early December. However, the contractor plans to have the work completed much earlier. Weather and construction delays could alter the work schedule.
