Doris Jean (Lewis) Long, 82, of Lampe, passed away Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, in Table rock Healthcare, Kimberling City.

She was born in Louisville, Ky., on Nov. 27, 1928, the daughter of Jack Henry and Sophia Marie (Eisen) Gaddis. She was united in marriage to Jesse Lewis, who preceded her in death. In December 1969, at Liberty, she was united in marriage to Robert Lee 'Bob" Long, who also preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 2010. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Gaddis and John Gaddis.

Survivors include: three daughters, Linda Jennings and her husband, Larry of Cassville, Sharon Burton and her husband, John, of McAlester, Okla., and Shirley Stegall and her husband, Danny, of Kansas City; a step-son, Bill Long, of Arkansas; two sisters, Marie Cleary and her husband, Joseph, of Jefferson Town, Ky., and Virginia Fleshman, of Louisville, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She grew up and received her education in Louisville, Ky., where she attended Jefferson High. She and Bob moved from Liberty to Lampe in 1974 to make their home. She was a member of the Shell Knob VFW Post #2203 Ladies Auxiliary. She attended Trinity Presbyterian Church, Shell Knob.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Rev. Tony Ball will conduct the services. Burial will be in Lake Park Memorial Gardens, Shell Knob.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.

Memorials in her memory may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, Shell Knob, for Share Your Christmas.
