Several events are scheduled to be held in conjunction with the Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce's annual Chili and Salsa Cook-Off on Saturday.
The Cassville Fire Protection District (CFPD) will host a pancake breakfast at the Cassville First Baptist Church fellowship hall from 6:30 to 10 a.m.
The event will offer all-you-can-eat pancakes for a donation. Proceeds will be used to purchase equipment and pay for emergency training.
The Cassville Family YMCA will host its second annual Chili Run on the square beginning at 8 a.m.
The Chili Run will offer a 5K race and a one mile fun run. A trophy will be awarded to the top male and female runners in the 5K race.
Prizes will also be awarded to the top three finishers in each of the following age divisions: 14 and under; 15 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; and 60 and over.
The pre-registration entry fee is $15. Individuals who register on the day of the race will be charged a $20 entry fee. The deadline to enter is 7:45 a.m. on Oct. 22.

Registration for the second annual Cassville Education Fund (CEF) Motorcycle Poker Run will be held in the Cassville School District parking lot north of the Rock Gym beginning at 8 a.m.
The poker run, which is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., will make stops in Berryville, Ark., Huntsville, Ark., Eureka Springs, Ark., Seligman and Cassville.
The rider with the best hand will receive 25 percent of the total registration fees collected and two tickets to The Show. The rider with the worst hand will receive 10 percent of the registration fees and two tickets to The Show.
The entry fee is $25 per hand. A pair of hands can be purchased for $40, and three hands can be purchased for $60.
The first 25 riders who register for the event will receive free chili cook-off tasting kits. In the event of rain, the poker run will be rescheduled.
The poker run will benefit the Cassville Education Fund, a permanent endowment for funding education needs that exceed the Cassville R-4 School District budget.

The Cassville Cruisers will host their final cruise-in of the 2011 season at the Barry County Museum on Highway 112 south of Cassville at 3 p.m.
All area car enthusiasts are invited to attend. There is no entry fee. Door prizes will be awarded during the event, which offers music, fellowship and food concessions.
