Community members looking for a scare close to home should consider one of the spooky activities below.
The Seligman Fire Protection District will offer its 14th annual Spook Trail on Oct. 21 and 22 and Oct. 28 and 29.
Tickets, which cost $5, will be sold from 8 p.m. to midnight. Children under 5 will be admitted for free.
Concessions will be available, and fires will be offered in the waiting area, but attendees are encouraged to dress warmly.
The Seligman Spook Trail is located on State Line Road west of Seligman.
The Exeter Haunted Barn and Corn Maze has returned for a 10th season. The spooky facility is open from 7 to 11 p.m. each weekend through October.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Concessions will be available.
The haunted barn and corn maze is located off of Highway M south of Exeter near Wayne.

A spook barn will be offered at Gizmo's Event Center in Wheaton on Oct. 27, 28 and 29 and Oct. 31. The barn will open at 7 p.m. each evening.
Tickets are $5 per person. Food and games will be available in the event center.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Wheaton Fire Department.
