Garden Sass Farmers' Market will conclude its 2011 season on Friday, Oct. 14. All area community members are encouraged to visit the market to purchase the last fresh produce of the season.
"There is still plenty of good produce coming through the market so stop on by," said John Potter, Garden Sass Famers' Market president. "Garden Sass would like to thank all the many vendors who passed along their fine produce this season."
Garden Sass vendors are invited to bring a potluck dish to the final market day to celebrate the end of another successful season.
Vendors who paid the $5 initiation fee are also invited to sell produce without paying the $1 fee on Friday, Oct. 14.
"Even though 2011 was a trying year for gardeners, from the long, cold winter and the wet, cold spring to the relentless heat and drought, I thank all the vendors who were able to bring their produce to the market for their hard work," said Potter. "Remember all the produce sold at Garden Sass is locally grown, so next season, support your neighbors and shop local whenever possible."
Area community members are invited to join the Garden Sass Farmers' Market community on Facebook. The group offers news and updates on gardening, produce and the local farmers' market.
The Garden Sass Farmers' Market is held in the pavilion on Mineral Springs Road in the Cassville City Park from 7 to 11 a.m. each Tuesday and Friday through the spring and summer.
