Honored athlete Lynne Nicole (Biggs) Maddox, daughter of Bruce and Sue Biggs, of Kansas City, and granddaughter of the late Bill and Gladys Biggs, of Exeter, was one of five individuals inducted into the Hairston Sports Hall of Fame at Central Methodist University (CMU) in Fayette on Sept. 9. Lynne graduated from Winnetonka High School in 1997 and is a 2002 graduate of CMU. While attending high school and college, Lynne set numerous records. Her college softball career included softball records for hits, runs, RBIs and fielding percentage. She currently ranks in the top 10 for single-season hits and fielding percentage. Lynne also ranks first in single-season on-base percentage and is tied for first in single-season fielding percentage with a perfect season in 2000. She was a four-time first team All-Heart of America Athletic Conference catcher for CMU. She was also honored with second team All-Region honors and named a second team NAIA All-American in 2001. Lynne was recognized with the college's Darla Pannier Outstanding Female Athlete award in 2001.
