Kirk Eugene Davenport, age 51, of Shell Knob, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.

He was born April 25, 1960, in Sigourney, Iowa, the son of Russell and Norma Kay (Corll) Davenport. On Feb. 14, 2008, in Eureka Springs, Ark., he was united in marriage to Linda Easley, who survives.

Additional survivors include: his mother, Norma Kay Thompson and her husband, Larry, of Ames, Iowa; one brother, Kent Davenport and his wife, Kelly, of Huxley, Iowa; one sister, Lisa Beers and her husband, Mark, of Arlington, Texas; a stepson, Brian Easley and his wife, Tina, of Exeter; a stepdaughter, Jaqueline McNabb, of Pineville; and five grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his father.

He grew up and received his education in Iowa and graduated from Ballard Community High School in Huxley, Iowa. Twenty years ago, he moved to Shell Knob, to make his home. He was a self-employed roofer.

Memorial services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Pastor Jim Clay conducted the services.
