The Shell Knob School District has launched a new website, which offers a variety of features designed to connect the school with the community and keep parents informed.

Internet users who visit the new website, at, can check the weather from the homepage or subscribe to the RSS feed to get automatic updates, including school calendar information, sent directly to a smart phone or email.

"The site has a great new look, but all of the information from the old site is still accessible," said Jessica Johnson, school librarian. "Even more content is being added for the convenience of Shell Knob School students and parents, as well as the Shell Knob community."

Johnson plans to post her weekly news releases on the website. The releases will be archived under the library's current events tab.

The school district's new website will also offer a link to the Shell Knob School library wiki. Located at, the library wiki offers a collection of links to safe and reliable web resources that can be used for student research projects.

The library wiki also offers book trailers, book reviews by teachers and students, teacher resources and a collection of educational sites that offer games and activities that provide students with extra practice using math and reading skills.

"Make our cyberschool your homepage or check back often to see what is going on at Shell Knob School," said Johnson.
