SWLT to present autumn drama production
Southwest Little Theatre in Washburn will present an autumn drama production on Thursday, Sept. 29 and Friday, Sept. 30. Performances are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
The performance on Sept. 29 will feature "Remembering 911" and "Lost." The Sept. 30 show will offer performances of "No Place Like Home" and "Lost."
"Remembering 911" is a dramatic production that looks back at the events of Sept. 11, 2001, through the eyes of students and adults who lived through the terrorist attacks.
"No Place Like Home" is a dramatic play about the loss of a loved one. The play incorporates the characters from the "Wizard of Oz."
"Lost," the featured play for the autumn drama production, focuses on the life of an elderly woman who has wandered away from a nursing home.
The productions scheduled to be offered on Sept. 29 and Sept. 30 will also offer preshow performances by Southwest Junior High School actors.
Students scheduled to perform on Sept. 29 include: Angel Phillips, Katherine Hedden, Bryan Jimenez, Payton Osburn, Alexander Cook, Shelton Smith, Kaitlyn Roberts and Sarah Catron.
Savana Leonhardt, Jamie Shrum, Cheristi Cline, Rebekah McKeever, Mikayla Kellog, Jymme Ash, Felicia Taylor, Chelsi Atkinson, Alyssa Erwin, Margaret Munday, Austin Roberts, Caleb Hedden and Jesse Baird will perform in the junior high school preshow on Sept. 30.
The productions will be offered in a dessert theatre format, and tickets will cost $10.
