The Cassville Women's Golf League held its annual invitational tournament at the Cassville Golf Course on Aug. 25.

The event offered "awesome weather, delicious food and wonderful fellowship," according to Becky Ryder, of the Cassville Women's Golf League.

The golf tournament attracted 100 women, who participated on 50 teams during the two-person scramble. Cash prizes were awarded to four places in four flights. Gift bags were given to each participant, and door prizes were also awarded.

The theme for the event was "Hol-i-daze," and league members decorated the course, tee boxes and dining tables with items related to various holidays. The restaurant offered a colorful and festive atmosphere.

Several of the holes were sponsored by businesses in Shell Knob and Cassville.

"A big thank you to all those businesses in Branson, Shell Knob and Cassville who provided products for prizes, drawings and gift bags," said Ryder. "We also appreciate the many men and women who volunteered to make the tournament run smoothly. Each one performed their assigned task perfectly. From breakfast in the morning to lunch to prizes and drawings, it was a super-duper awesome day."
