Aldermen with the Purdy City Council met in special session to approve the 2011 tax levy.
Aldermen left the levy at the same rate as last year's, at .3956, which will generate approximately $12,000 in general revenue.
Aldermen also approved the purchase of a tanker of oil from the Purdy Special Road District at a cost of approximately $15,000.
Aldermen decided to have city crews address the streets most in need of work and then make improvements to the remaining streets when those were completed.
The next regular meeting of the Purdy City Council will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 at City Hall.
