Wilma L. Jones, 82, formerly of Cassville, passed away at Circle of Life Hospice Center in Bentonville, Ark., on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011. She was born on Oct. 7, 1928, in Jefferson City, daughter of Carl and Stella (Shikies) Williams. On Oct. 7, 1945, she was united in marriage to Lee Jones in Noblesville, Ind. She worked as a secretary to the base commanders at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kan., for several years. Wilma and Lee owned and operated Roaring River Resort for several years before retiring. They attended the First Baptist Church in Cassville.
Survivors include: her husband, Lee Jones, of Rogers, Ark.; one son, Tim Jones and his wife, Jeri, of Clanton, Ala.; one daughter, Barbara Goslee, of Rogers, Ark.; two brothers, Paul Williams, of Seligman, and Bob Williams, of Jefferson City; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Williams.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the White Funeral Home, Cassville, with Rev. James Weaver officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.
