Luella Evelyn Johnson, 82, of Shell Knob, passed away Aug. 31, 2011, at her home. She was born on Feb. 19, 1929, in Deer Creek Minn., to Charles Albert and Irene (Marquardt) Brown. She grew up in a family of 14 in Guthrie, Minn. She was united in marriage to her husband of 62 years, William J. Johnson, on July 16, 1949, in Minneapolis, Minn. Together they own and operate the Big Bobber Resort and the Vintage Ozark Antique Store both in Shell Knob.
Survivors include: her husband, William; one son, James M. Johnson, and his wife, Rosann Gloria, of Shell Knob; one daughter, Debra Miller, and her husband, Terrance, of Oceanside, Calif.; brothers and sisters, Mabel, Dorothy, Edith, Danny, Bobby and LaVonne; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Cathy Johnson, and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the White Funeral Home in Cassville with Pastor Tom Rees officiating. Cremation will follow services.
