R-3 SB accepts resignations, hires new staff members
The Wheaton R-3 School Board accepted two resignations and approved the employment of a pair of staff members at its regularly scheduled meeting on July 21.
The board accepted the resignations of Carolyn Pumpkin, kindergarten teacher, and Melissa Robertson, sixth grade teacher, and hired Curt White, as an elementary school teacher, and Jon Brattin, as a custodian and bus driver.
In other business, the school board:
* Approved reading coach stipends of $5,000 each for Melissa Creed and Melissa Hayslip.
* Heard Superintendent Dr. Lance Massey's monthly financial report and staff reports.
*Approved the Southwest Area Career Center contract for the 2011-12 school year.
