William Thomas Fout, 64 of Shell Knob, passed away at his home on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011. He was born on April 20, 1947, the son of William Henry and Minerva (Nigh) Fout in Toledo, Ohio.
He was a graduate of Ferris State University with a degree in architecture. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a firing systems mechanic. He earned the National Defense Service Medal and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. On Aug. 27, 1982, he was united in marriage to Gayle Ensley in Grand Haven, Mich. He was a retired financial advisor for Ramond James. In 1998, they moved to the Shell Knob area to make their home. Survivors include: his wife, Gayle Fout, of Shell Knob; one son, Adam Fout, and his wife, Heather, of Ionia, Mich.; three daughters, Jill Salik, and her husband, Rob, of Belding, Mich., Courtney Willard, and her husband, Jason, of Lowell, Mich., and Shannon Allison, of Cassville; one brother, David Fout, of Walled Lake, Mich.; one sister, Carol Maxwell, of Apopka, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may to made to the Haven of the Ozarks or St. John's Hospice and may be entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory.
