Mai Hang, 85, of Cassville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, in her home.

She was born in Laos, on Sept. 3, 1925, the daughter of Xai Vue Lo and Nao Moua. Mai was united in marriage to Pa Blia Hang and to this union five children were born.

Survivors include: one son, Charlie Hang and his wife, May, of Cassville; two daughters, Zoua H. Yang and her husband, Neng Yia Yang, of Rocky Comfort, and Shoua Lo and her husband, Rev. Voua Lo, of South Carolina; 28 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sons, Kaying Hang and Laopao Hang.

She received her education and grew up in Laos. She came to the United States to make her home in 1980. Five years ago, she moved to Cassville.

Graveside services were held Monday at Newtonia IOOF Cemetery, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Kx Ntxoov Huas Yaj, Xf Nom Qhua Yaj and Xf Tsheej Haj Ham conducted the services.
