John "Mark" Parkhurst, 60, of Cassville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at Cassville Health and Rehab.
He was born Jan. 30, 1951, in Cassville, the son of the late John Sullivan Parkhurst and Mary Louise "Penny" (Pendleton) Adams.
He spent his entire life in Cassville. After graduating from Cassville High School in 1969, he obtained a degree in business administration from Draughn Business College of Springfield. He owned and operated a lawn care service for many years before entering the care center on Dec. 9, 2000.
Survivors include: his mother, Penny Adams and her husband, Wally, of Cassville; and two sisters, Nancy Lea Miller and her husband, Clint, of Carthage, and Debra Jo Fennessey and her husband, Herb of Neosho.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Danny Heupel will conduct the services. Burial will be at Orange Cemetery, Aurora.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
