Cassville man nabbed for pharmacy break-ins

Wednesday, August 17, 2011

A Cassville man has been arrested in connection with two pharmacy break-ins in Shell Knob and one pharmacy break-in Cassville.

Barry County Sheriff Mick Epperly said that Steven Estel Henson, 30, of Cassville, confessed to the break-ins following investigations and questioning by detectives. In the first break-in at the Shell Knob Pharmacy, Henson stole 2,500 hydrocodone pills. The second break-in at that location resulted in an unknown amount of narcotics being stolen. Henson is also undergoing questioning concerning the break-in at Sater Pharmacy in Cassville.

Epperly said Henson admitted to the two break-ins in Shell Knob, stating he had taken a hammer to break the glass in the doors to gain admittance. Officers retrieved blood evidence at the scene, which is undergoing DNA testing.

Henson is currently in custody of the Barry County Jail. As of press time, no bail had been set.
