Two injured in weekend wreck

Two teens were seriously injured in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred on Sunday.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the wreck happened at about 5:20 p.m. on Highway 37 in Cassville when the driver of a 2001 Ford, Lora B. Weathers, 16, of Exeter, failed to yield and drove into the path of a 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by Angela M. Grooms, 30, of Mt. Vernon.

Weathers was taken to St. John's Hospital-Cassville with serious injuries. An occupant in the Weathers vehicle, Miranda R. Gaches, 15, of Cassville, was taken to Cox Monett Hospital with serious injuries. All parties involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.
