Mary Jane Stipech passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, in St. John's Hospital, Berryville, Ark. She was born Sept. 3, 1935, in Houghton, Mich., the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (Meville) McLean. On Nov. 17, 1956, in Houghton, Mich., she was united in marriage to Ernest Stipech, of Chassell, Mich., who survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, Bruce Jenkins, of California; five daughters, Elizabeth Medbury and her husband, John, of Auburn, Calif., Jean Stipech who lived with her, Linda Cahill and her husband, Sean, of Riverside, Calif., Barbara Strohm and her husband, Jim, of Colton, Calif., and Kathleen Widney and her husband, Art, of San Bernardino, Calif.; one brother, Bill Burda and his wife, Janet, of Utah; one sister, Joyce Kestner and her husband, Paul, of Jackson, Mich.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

She grew up and received her education in Michigan, graduating from high school in Houghton, Mich. At the age of 25, she and her family relocated to Riverside, Calif., where she resided for 27 years and where she raised her family and contributed to the community as a teachers aid before moving to Lampe, with her husband. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Shell Knob.
