Meeks Lumber will host a grand re-opening with ribbon cutting ceremonies at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4 at its Shell Knob store, located at 25056 Highway 39. The celebration will continue through Saturday, Aug. 6. Free hot dogs will be served from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday. Free popcorn and soft drinks will be offered throughout the grand re-opening celebration. Inflatable games will be set up in the parking lot for children. Door prizes will be handed out, along with a grand prize package of a $500 Branson vacation to be awarded to one lucky winner on Saturday. Special sales will take place throughout the celebration, and top vendors will be on hand. "This is an exciting time for us," said store manager Eddie Davison. "We look forward to serving the fine people of Shell Knob and surrounding areas." Special guests will include: Charlie Meek, general manager; Eric Sachse, marketing manager; Sheila House, executive director of the Shell Knob Chamber of Commerce; Rusty Rickard, chamber president; and Judy Reynolds, chamber vice president.
