Mary Ellen Wilson, 34, of Cassville, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011, in her home, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Feb. 22, 1977, in Springfield, the daughter of Junior Wilson and Nora (Wilks) Wilson, who survive.

Additional survivors include: her fiancÚ, Ryan Preddy, and their son, Bowen Preddy, both of the home; two brothers, Hank Wilson, of Cassville, and Luke Wilson and his wife, Cindy, of Exeter; and two sisters, Jeana Scott and her husband, Greg, of Cassville, and Dottie Wilson, of Purdy.

Preceding her in death are her paternal grandparents, Enioch and Ruby Wilson, and maternal grandparents, Charles and Dorthy Wilks.

She received her education at Cassville, where she graduated from high school with the class of 1995. She continued her education at Crowder College. For the past four years, she was employed with EFCO in Monett. She was also involved with the family business, Slinkard's Auto Salvage.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Cassville High School gymnasium under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Brother Gary Lester will conduct the services. Graveside services will be held at Horner Cemetery, Cassville.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
