Truman Grace Shaw, 93, of Cassville, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011, at the Red Rose Health and Rehab in Cassville. She was born on Sept. 13, 1918, in Tennessee, daughter of James and Isabell (Ebby) Moles. She was the youngest and last one surviving of her 11 siblings.
She was united in marrage to Carson Shaw, who preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 1987. During her years in Mansfield, she was previously employed at the Mansfield Shoe Factory and Mansfield Hospital. She moved to Cassville in 2004 to make her home.
Survivors include: four sons, Vergal Shaw, of Washburn, Hubert Shaw, of Calimesa, Calif., David Shaw, of Copan, Okla., and Harold Shaw, of Visalia, Calif.; three daughters, Sharon Hoskins, of Dayton, Nev., Lena Garr, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Glenda Privett, of Los Angles, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Lorraine Border.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the White Funeral Home in Cassville with Minister Tom Thomas officiating. Burial will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the #5 Cemetery in Mansfield with Dr. Richard Eakins officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
