Wreck leaves one person hurt

A St. Louis man was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday on Farm Road 2182 near Cassville.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred when the driver of a 1996 Cadillac, Vanessa J. Ortega, 17, of Purdy, traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

A passenger in the Ortega vehicle, Christian M. Rosas, 21, of St. Louis, was taken to St. John's Hospital-Cassville with minor injuries. Both occupants of the vehicle were wearing safety belts.
