For the first time since its inception, the winner of the annual Shoppin' in the Shell contest is an individual who does not live in the Barry or Stone County area. This year's winner of the Shoppin' in the Shell contest was J.P. Warren, of Fayetteville, Ark. The winning ticket was drawn by Alicia Price, of Wichita, Kan., granddaughter of Roger Pinnell, Shoppin' in the Shell co-chairman. Pictured above, from left, are: Pinnell, Warren, and Sharon Brown, treasurer for the Shell Knob Senior Corporation. Warren said he planned to use his winnings at places such as Lakeside Marine and Country Fresh Market, as well as taking his children on boat rides and enjoying other lakeside activities.
