Billy J. Walker, 37, of Exeter, passed away Friday, July 15, 2011, near Monett.

He was born Dec. 31, 1973, in Cassville, the son of James Stephen "Steve" and Marylon Kay (Tate) Walker. On April 27, 1996, in Eureka Springs, Ark., he was united in marriage to Krystal Towler, who survives.

Additional survivors include: his mother, Kay Walker, of Cassville; one son, Blake Walker, of Exeter; a stepdaughter, Lyndsay Kidwell, of Exeter; a brother, Tommy Walker and his wife, Jessica, of Purdy; paternal grandfather, Loyd Walker, of Verona; and paternal grandmother, Carolyn Forester and her husband, Leon, of Lillian, Ala.

Preceding him in death was his father, Steve Walker on Feb. 26, 2011, and his maternal grandmother, Bettie Tate.

He received his education at Cassville, graduating from Cassville High School and received his associate's degree in applied science from Crowder College. He was employed for Glad Industries in Rogers, Ark., as a machine operator. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church at Exeter.

Funeral services were held Monday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Brother Art Rogers conducted the services. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter.
