Donna Pearl Swofford, 78, of Shell Knob, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011, in her home.

She was born June 15, 1933, in Viola, the daughter of Oran and Audrey (Smith) Bonham. On Dec. 7, 1949, she was united in marriage to Charlie Swofford, who preceded her in death on March 13, 2003. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Vancel Bonham.

Survivors include: four children, Yvonne Swofford and Loren "Dale" Swofford, both of the home, Charles David "Dave" Swofford, of Princeville, Ill., and Dorothy Goffrier, of Berryville, Ark.; one brother, Gene Bonham, of Shell Knob; one sister, Alene Faye Swofford, of Blue Eye; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a graduate of Blue Eye High School. For several years, she resided in Illinois, returning back to this area in 1980. She was a homemaker.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at McCullough Cemetery at Viola under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Shirley McCullough conducted the services.
