Cassville resident dead following crash in Arkansas

A Cassville man is dead following a traffic crash in Cleburne County in Arkansas. Austin Wisdom, 26, was a passenger in the 2000 Ford Escort driven by Steven McClure, 40, of Mountain View, when the vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree. The crash occurred at 5:37 p.m. on Friday on Highway 87, one mile south of Concord. McClure was also killed in the wreck. According to the Arkansas State Highway Patrol report, neither man was wearing a seat belt.

Other crashes

* A two-vehicle crash on Wednesday left a Purdy man injured. The wreck occurred at 12:45 p.m. on County Road 2180 four miles north of Pierce City when the driver of a 2008 Ford Explorer, Joseph W. Guinn, 33, of Stark City, failed to yield to the 2008 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Darrell L. Tabor, 34, of Mt. Vernon, and struck the Tabor vehicle broadside. An occupant in the Guinn vehicle, Harry G. Wilkinson, 62, received minor injuries in the crash and was taken to St. John's Hospital in Springfield. All of the parties involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.

* A single-vehicle crash sent three Purdy residents to a Springfield hospital. The wreck occurred at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, on Highway 97 one mile north of Pulaskifield when the driver of a 1991 Dodge Ram pickup truck, Linda K. Perryman, 31, of Purdy, ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned. Perryman was thrown from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries. Two passengers in the truck, Sonya K. Perryman, 9, and Logan E. Perryman, 7, received moderate and minor injuries respectively. All were taken to Cox Hospital South in Springfield via private vehicle. The driver was not wearing a seat belt, but both passengers were.
