Edith B. Fawver, 91, of Tucson, Ariz., passed away Friday, June 24, 2011, in her home.

She was born June 23, 1920, in Fayetteville, Ark., the daughter of Walter J. and Annie C. (Bashe) Curtis. On Aug. 18, 1942, in Miami, Okla., she was united in marriage to Robert E. Fawver, who preceded her in death on May 15, 2005. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Wesley Curtis; and one sister, Bettie, in infancy.

Surviving include: one daughter, Anita Sue Godshall and her husband, Kenneth, of Mount Kisco, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.

She grew up and received her education at Seligman, where she graduated from high school. She then attended the University of Arkansas for two years. She attended the Union Church in Seligman. Prior to her marriage, she taught school at Seligman. For several years, she was an administrative assistant for Tucson Medical Center.

Funeral services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Walt Dellow conducted the services. Burial was at Seligman Cemetery, Seligman.
