Children enjoy science experiments

Monday, July 4, 2011
Democrat Photo Cassville Branch Library summer reading program participants enjoyed science experiments with Heno Head on June 16. Head shared several experiments during the program, and also touched on the scientific process by repeating the phrase, "We don't have to guess. We can test." In the photo above, children react to an experiment, which determined that a cylinder of cardboard shaped into a circle can withstand more weight than cardboard folded into a triangle- or square-shaped cylinder. In the photo below, Trevor Nelson demonstrates how a needle can be inserted through a balloon without popping the plastic.
