Charlie F. Kern, 86, of Aurora, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011, in St. John's Hospital, Aurora.

He was born July 26, 1924, in Pennsylvania, the son of Samuel Newton and Louie B. (Chess) Kern, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were one sister, Annebelle, and five brothers, William, Leslie, David, Arthur and Leroy.

Surviving include: his children, Bonnie, Charlie, Wilma, Mark, Vicki, Norma, Peggy, Tammy, Tim, Silas, Cherry, Clark, Josh and Deborah; one sister, Alice Miller, of Claysville, Penn.; and one grandson.

He grew up and received his education in Pennsylvania. He resided in Arkansas for a while, moving from Pea Ridge, Ark., to Aurora nine years ago. Most of his life was spent as a dairy and chicken farmer. He was of the Baptist faith.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
