Letters to the Editor
When this old woman had trouble getting a tire from the trunk after a blow-out on Highway 37, a knight in shining armor, Trey Gates, stopped to help. Then, two gals, Donna Allen and Rhonda Pettit, stopped and helped also. I thank God for these people and for living in this great community with great, caring people.
Gas prices too high
As a concerned citizen of Cassville, I question the high prices charged at the gas pumps here in town. Cassville is consistently 10 to 16 cents higher than Monett, Rogers, Ark., and Bentonville, Ark., or even Washburn and Seligman.
Why is this? If I am irritated by the gas prices before I even get out of my car, why should we shop in Cassville? A lot of people feel taken advantage of and choose to shop elsewhere.
Yes, station owners - we do have choices. It seems greed has clouded your sense of responsibility to your community to remain competitive and encourage your customers to shop locally.
Sales tax on purchases are what feed this community and maintain the infrastructure.
