Democrat Photo/Lee Stubblefield Cassville High School's Wildcat Stadium is undergoing a facelift during the summer months. Three separate phases of improvements include: reseeding the football field; with new grass; expanding the home bleachers section on the north to add seating for around 250 more fans; and replacing the 12-year-old track surface. As of Friday, June 24, the new grass has already taken off beyond expectations. The skeleton for the seating addition is almost complete, and the artificial track has been removed and replaced with a new asphalt base and awaits a new rubberized surface. The track will remain closed to foot traffic for at least 30 days after the final surface is installed.
