Democrat Photo Noell Harmon, of Aurora, has been named as the new Cassville City Clerk. Harmon assumed her duties on June 15 and is finding the transition a smooth one. "This is a very warm and caring staff," Harmon said. "They are very helpful and efficient. They care about the people and the community. You can't ask for better people to represent the city and its citizens." Harmon has previously worked in city government both for the City of Aurora and in Oregon. She has experience in clerical, accounting and financial planning, grant writing and other skills necessary in the operation of city governments. Harmon and her husband, Steve, have four children: Tim and Ross, both seniors in high school this year; a daughter, Lily, a junior in high school; and a son, Lance, who is 22. Harmon is spending lunch hours becoming familiar with Cassville and its surrounding attractions. "I love Roaring River State Park," she said. "I'll probably be spending some of my lunch hours walking there. But really, I look forward to being of service here, to the city and to the community."
