Monett, Exeter, Crane residents injured in crashes
A single-vehicle wreck on Saturday sent a Monett man to a local hospital.
The crash occurred at 2:20 a.m. on Farm Road 1090 a half mile south of Monett when the driver of a 2002 Ford Escort, Damien A. Taylor, 34, ran off the road and overturned.
Taylor was taken to Cox Monett Hospital with moderate injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.
* A single-vehicle wreck on Wednesday left one person injured. The crash occurred at 5:05 p.m. on Highway 76 in Ridgley when the driver of a 2005 Jeep Liberty, Sarah M. Messbarger, 23, of Exeter, ran off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle then came back across the road, dropping off the left side of the roadway and overturning down a ravine. Messbarger was taken to St. John's Hospital-Cassville with minor injuries.
* Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Monday. The crash occurred at 5:15 p.m. on Highway 37 three miles south of Aurora when the driver of a 2007 Hyundai Elantra, Laura K. Seaver, 62, of Crane, attempted to cross the highway and pulled into the path of a 1995 Dodge Neon, driven by Amanda L. Willhite, 37, of Verona. The vehicles collided and the Seaver car came to rest in the road while the Willhite vehicle traveled off the road and came to rest in a ditch. Seaver received minor injuries in the wreck and opted to seek her own treatment. Willhite was taken by ambulance to St. John's Hospital-Aurora with moderate injuries. Both women were wearing their seat belts.
