Chrisandra "Sandy" Phillips, 60, of Washburn, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.

She was born Aug. 21, 1950, in Springfield, the daughter of Carl Shipley Schell I, and Christine (Armstrong) Schell. On Feb. 5, 1972, she was united in marriage to Ronald "Ron" Phillips, who survives.

Additional survivors include: four daughters, Christy Mueller, of Cassville, Tina Rasmussen, of Cassville, Mindy Phillips, of Kyle, Texas, and Ashley Phillips, of Washburn; one brother, Carl Schell, of Cassville; three sisters, Karla Lakey, Frankie Schell and Coeta Stephens, all of Washburn; and six grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother-in-law, Fred Lakey.

She grew up and received her education in Washburn, graduating from Southwest R-5 School. Her entire life was spent in Barry County in the Washburn community. For a few years, she was employed at Fasco, retiring due to health reasons. She was a member of Washburn First Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Washburn First Baptist Church under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Jim Erwin conducted the services. Burial was at Washburn Prairie Cemetery.
