A three-car wreck on Friday sent six people to area hospitals.
The crash occurred at 6:45 p.m. on Highway 60 three miles east of Granby when the driver of a 2002 Ford Windstar, Pam L. Stearns, 34, of Granby, was stopped to make a left turn and was struck from behind by a 1997 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Matthew D. Tucker, 41, of Neosho. The Stearns vehicle travelled into the westbound lane and was struck head-on by a 2006 Dodge Charger, driven by Sharrie L. Hartman, 41, of Monett.
Drivers Hartman and Stearns were both seriously injured in the wreck. Hartman was taken to Cox Hospital South in Springfield. She was not wearing a seat belt. Stearns was taken to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin. She was wearing a seat belt.
Four occupants in the Stearns vehicle received minor injuries. Cotton C. Jones, 14, Kyle A. Stearns, 13, Lauren Stearns, 12, and Nathan Stearns, 10, all of Granby, were taken to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin. All were wearing seat belts.
* A single-vehicle wreck on Sunday sent a Seligman woman to an Arkansas Hospital. The crash occurred at 1:30 p.m. seven miles west of Seligman. The driver of a 2006 Honda RTX 250, Tiffany S. Skaggs, 29, was making a right turn onto Farm Road 2295 from County Road DD when she ran off the left side of the roadway and fell from an embankment. Skaggs was taken to St. John's Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark., with serious injuries.
* A single-vehicle wreck at 8:20 a.m. on Sunday left a Cassville resident with minor injuries. The crash occurred on Route W three miles east of Wheaton when a 1995 Dodge pickup truck, driven by Deneal L. Reynolds, 22, slid off the left side of the roadway, struck a fence and a tree and overturned. Reynolds was taken by ambulance to St. John's Hospital-Cassville with minor injuries. She was not wearing a seat belt.
* A single-vehicle wreck on Wednesday left an Exeter youth in serious condition. The crash occurred when the 1992 Ford F150, driven by Alisha D. Clark, 16, of Exeter, slid off the roadway, struck a tree and overturned, ejecting the passenger. Clark was taken by private vehicle to St. John's Hospital-Cassville with minor injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, Dalton T. Horn, 12, was airlifted to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with serious injuries. Neither was wearing a seat belt.
* A two-vehicle crash on Wednesday sent an Eagle Rock man to an area hospital. The crash occurred at 2:55 p.m. on Highway F eight miles southeast of Cassville when the driver of a 2002 Buick Regal, Teresa R. Hostetler, 24, of Green Forest, Ark., traveled into the path of a 2001 Dodge Intrepid, driven by Ronnie R. Tollison, 63, of Eagle Rock. The vehicles struck head-on. An occupant in the Tollison vehicle, Danny R. Tollison, 30, was taken by ambulance to St. John's Hospital-Cassville, with minor injuries. All parties were wearing seat belts.
