Margaret E. "Peggy" Arnold, 77, of Golden, passed away Monday, June 6, 2011, in her home.
She was born Dec. 27, 1933, in Gilman City the daughter of Forrest and Alice (Mather) Lowe. On Dec. 17, 1960, in Miami, Okla., she was united in marriage to Arthur Jack "A.J." Arnold, who preceded her in death on July 13, 2008. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Charles Lowe.
Survivors include: two stepsons, Arthur Jack Arnold, Jr., of Kansas City, and Everett Jeffrey Arnold and wife, Cynthia, of Bates City; one brother, Dr. Forrest G. Lowe and wife, Joan, of Kansas City; one sister, Carol Lowe-Gibson, of Gilman City; five grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.
She grew up and received her education in Gilman City, graduating from Gilman City High School. For several years, she worked for P.I.E. Truck Lines in Kansas City. she is a retired Teamster. In 1989, she and "A.J" moved from Lake Lotawana to Golden to make their home. She was of the Baptist faith.
Graveside services were held Saturday at Viney Creek Cemetery, Golden, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Doyle Russell conducted the services.
