Cox Hospital-Cassville lab receives accreditation

On May 5, Cox Health Center laboratory in Cassville met all the criteria for Laboratory Accreditation by COLA, a national healthcare accreditation organization. Lab staff, pictured above from left, are: Rhonda Skinner, MT/ASCP; and Tom Snead, CLS. Accreditation is only given to laboratories that apply rigid standards of quality day-to-day operations and demonstrate continuing accuracy in performance and proficiency testing. Staff must also pass a rigorous on-site laboratory survey. Cox Health Center has earned COLA accreditation as a result of long-term commitment to provide quality service to its patients.
