Absentee voting for the June 7 special election will continue through Monday, June 6. Voters will decide a tax levy increase for the Central Crossing Fire Protection District.
Absentee voting hours will be offered at the Barry County Clerk's office in Cassville from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Voters must present one form of identification, such as a driver's license or a voter registration card.
Area residents who are unable to vote absentee in person can request an absentee ballot by mail. Written requests should be mailed to Gary Youngblood at 700 Main St., Suite 2, Cassville MO 65625 or faxed to 417-847-5311.
Requests must include the following information: the date of the election; the voter's name, physical address, mailing address, phone number and date of birth; the last four digits of the voter's Social Security number; the reason for voting absentee; and the voter's signature. Ballots must be requested by Wednesday, June 1.
